I’m just going to paint you a picture. It’s a hot summer day, so hot that even your iPhone is all hot and bothered, and decides to shut down. Some may panic, and not know what to do next…ahhh twiddle thumbs? but who twiddle’s their thumbs anymore in a world where our thumb exercise is texting. Instead of panicking you decide to take advantage of this little social media break-up. Since it is a scorcher out you make this easy breezy lemon squeezy refreshing lemonade, and head outside to go lay on a lawn chair. The sun greets you like a warm blanket as you lay in your itsy bitsy teenie weenie bikini or speedo, with that book you’ve been meaning to read, while taking sips of your homemade lemonade which instantly cools you down as you say “ahh” after every refreshing cold lemony sweet n’sour sip. Just a day spent with yourself, a book, the sun, lemonade, and no distractions, does it get better than this?
Not going to lie that picture I just painted is more like a dream! I don’t know the last time I had “me” time. I love social media, and I’m on it a butt ton. Instagram by far is my biggest weakness. I just love seeing all the beautiful yummy pictures that my fellow food bloggers, and favourite chefs post, and getting inspiration. It would really be weird if I didn’t love it as much as I do since I have a foodblog; which is only possible because of the power of social media, but (and this is a BIG but!) with being a newbie food blogger I am finding it hard to find the balance for everything, and really wish there was more hours in the day. So, just wondering is there any tips/tricks you amazing bloggers have to pass on to this newbie? I just want to be the best I can be for you, my readers, because I truly LOVE you guys, and being a blogger so dang much!
Another confession (bah it appears this lemonade is truth serum haha), so today the lighting was not my friend, and made for capturing this beautiful drink uber tricky…or maybe it wasn’t the lighting at all, and instead the lemonade was just in a sour mood. Either way I felt the need to tell you that for some odd reason! I guess I should include a warning: drink lemonade with caution. You may say too much!! Okay I’m going to end the post here before I spill anymore beans. I hope you enjoy this yummy, refreshing, lemonade. It really is the cherry on top of a relaxing hot summer day spent catching up on you time, or enjoying with friends and family at a backyard BBQ. For a fun twist on how I make this virgin bevy into a cocktail keep your eyes open for an upcoming recipe. Cheers!
Ps. Have you tried any of my recipes? If so, thank you so much for inviting me into your kitchen! I would love to hear some feedback if you have the time to leave me a little note.
