Hands up in the air if you heart sushi! Now that I have your hands up I’m going to have this sushi stack all to myself hehe so evil of me to trick you like that I know, but I saw my opportunity and I took it! I know you would do the same if you had these sushi stacks in front of you.
Okay I’ll play nice! No more tricks I promise, but I do have a confession..I’ve never made sushi rolls before eek don’t hate! I don’t know why I found rolls too intimidating to attempt…but after making these sushi stacks, and having so much fun playing with my food, look out rolls I’m coming for you!!
Just want to give a shoutout to one of my favorite bloggers that I follow, and who inspired me to get over my sushi making fears, Gina from Skinny Taste. Thank you for the inspiration, and for taking one of my favorite sushi rolls and making it into a stack. For my version I used a large heart shape cookie cutter, but you can use which ever shape you have on hand. I’m just a tad obsessed with making my food into heart shapes, as you may be able to tell after looking at my IG page, and through my recipes hehe. Then to make the stack I started with the rice for the base, then the shrimp, topped with freshly mashed avocado, and then thinly sliced cucumber. To finish the stack off I garnished it with toasted sesame seeds and my spicy ginger soy drizzle that is soooo good it will have you saying this drizzle is fo’ shizzle my nizzle…or something like that!!
Hope you Enjoy!!
